Chasewater Railway has acquired Brereton Junction Signal Box which was situated just to the west of Rugeley Town Station. The box along with those at Bloxwich and Hednesford became redundant once the line was switch over to electric signalling controlled from one of the new generation regional boxes.
Volunteers have removed all the signal and telegraph equipment, so that the box can be prepared for lifting, and the base dismantled for transfer and reassembly at Chasewater.
